All the details on how it works
After you place an order, you will receive the blood collection kit at home.
You will receive the test kit by mail at the address you provide. Several determinations can be done from one tube, but some tests must be done from another tube. Results will follow by mail within two weeks, unless otherwise stated. Most results are available much earlier.
You don't need to be at home for this, the test set can just fit through the letterbox. The results will be sent by e-mail.

Blood collection in your area
You will receive a letter for the corresponding lab technician(s) and the opening hours of the blood collection point by mail. If you would like a different blood collection point than the one we have suggested, you can always email or call. With the blood collection kit you can go to one of the blood collection points in your neighborhood. You will receive the necessary material for your chosen test, a letter explaining how to send the blood by mail and the (prepaid) shipping material (according to the legal guidelines), for return shipment to the laboratory.
The return shipment goes through the medical mail. So the speed of the return shipment of your blood to the lab is guaranteed by PostNL. Look for the emptying time of the mailbox in your area. Put the envelope on the mailbox just before emptying time so that your blood does not stay too long in the mailbox on hot summer days and cold winter days, or drop it off at a PostNL service point. In case of early collection in hot weather, store the material in the refrigerator.
Do not use track & Trace, this slows down the routing of medical mail. The people at the service point do not know this, but medical mail should just go in the mailbox (bag) without track & Trace
A tube of blood is taken by professionals, from a vein on the inside of the arm, usually in the crease of the elbow. To see and feel this vein well, a tourniquet is pulled tightly around the upper arm. A hollow needle is pricked into the vein, drawing blood into the tube. The needle is used only once and then destroyed.
Do you need to be sober?
Most tests do not require you to be sober. If you have to be completely sober, it is clearly stated with the test.
If your blood levels are good, they will be good even if you are not sober.

If so, we have the following dietary advice for you :
From the evening before your appointment, after 23:00, do not take coffee or dairy products (such as milk, buttermilk or yogurt). For breakfast and/or lunch, have a maximum of 2 slices of whole-wheat bread spread with, for example, low-fat meat products, without butter. Drink water or tea without milk or sugar. Do not eat sweets, fruit or dairy products.
In case of abnormal results, the examination can be repeated sober, to see if it is okay then. For this you get dietary advice from us.
Always fill in your date of birth and gender, because the reference values of the results depend on it. Always fill in your phone number, so we can call you in case of strongly abnormal results that require immediate medical attention.

If you only request urine, stool or saliva (DNA testing) or can provide the blood collection yourself, you can choose this option. You will not pay extra for the blood collection, but only the shipping costs.

In most places we also come to your home or company to take blood. Not possible in every city, if this is not possible you will get the difference back or you can cancel the order.

If you only order a consultation or a follow-up assessment, nothing needs to be sent and you do not have to pay anything.

The best thing to do then is to put an envelope over the medical envelope from us with the reply number on it. You have to take care of the shipping costs to Germany yourself.

Do not order for multiple people in one order
You cannot order for multiple people in one order, the report is made depending on gender and age and is always personal. Therefore, if you want to buy a test for several people you have to checkout your shopping cart 2 times separately. Also, of course blood collection fees must be paid per person.
How full should the tubes be?
Filling the tube depends on the type and brand of tube. Our clot tubes fill completely to the top (red cap), The EDTA (purple tube) tubes fill to half and the glucose tubes (gray-white) to 1/3rd.
Send by mail
You should mail the envelope with the tubes, the same day before laying time. Do not send by mail on Friday, the blood will take too long to travel. On hot or very cold days, deposit the envelopes as close as possible to the time of emptying or preferably at a PostNL Service point. Not with the packages, but with the letter mail. Because of the packaging, it will then be treated as medical mail.
Keep the blood at room temperature and the urine in the refrigerator until shipment.
You should have the blood drawn and shipped no later than 8 weeks after receiving the blood collection kit, this is due to the shelf life of the tubes. After this time, the order will be closed and cannot be processed.
If you are not able to send us the blood within this time, please contact us (i[email protected]) We can then place your order again and send you a new collection set, however, you will have to pay an additional order fee of €21.90. If we have not heard from you within 8 weeks, your order will unfortunately expire and you will no longer be entitled to the tests.
Results PDF document by email
Depending on the complexity of the test, you will receive the result by e-mail within 1 to 2 weeks.
In case of an extremely low or high result of a test, for which immediate medical intervention is required, you will be contacted for personal consultation before receiving the result. Other abnormal values are indicated with an upward arrow for a high value and/or a downward arrow for a low value. A urine and/or blood test remains a snapshot, sometimes it is wise to repeat the tests, which can be improved, after a month. In case of medical complaints you should always consult your (family) physician.
You can always ask us to explain the results, but we are not allowed to give medical advice, for a personal interpretation and medical advice you can order a consultation with our internist.
Blood Value Test never passes on your results to an insurer or (family) physician. You will receive the blood tubes at the address you provide, they have a barcode that communicates with your test, but it is not traceable by anyone, only by the lab system. The results are sent exclusively to the email address you provide. You can also place the order under another name, however, do not change your date of birth, as the results will be related to your gender and age.
For tests requiring blood collection, most blood collection centers do require you to identify yourself with your official information. This is only for the medical procedure "blood sampling". If you report your real name to us in comments, we can put the referral letter for blood sampling in your official name.
We do not provide blood tests for minors and the legally incompetent without a referral from a doctor or therapist, because we follow the guidelines of the Health Council;
Extra protection in connection with a health check is basically involved if;
1. It is unfocused or broadly focused on all kinds of abnormalities and there is a lack of knowledge, among other things, about clinical sensitivity and specificity.
2. A complex follow-up process is involved due to (combinations of) follow-up diagnostics, therapy, aftercare and counseling.
3. There is a risk of disproportionate invasion of privacy.
(Also) Children and legally incapable persons belong to the target group.
5. It is insufficiently proportionate to the health problem (e.g. too extensive or too invasive) or if there are clearly better or less harmful alternatives.
6. There may be major societal consequences, such as follow-up costs and/or displacement effects.
7. It focuses (directly or indirectly) on serious diseases or abnormalities for which no treatment or prevention is possible.
The blood test cannot be exchanged because the test is specially created by name in the laboratory system. However, before having your blood drawn, you can cancel the order or exchange it for another test. You will have to pay the order fee/shipping costs again.
You should then send this cancellation by email to [email protected] stating your name and order number. We can then credit the amount for the blood test, excluding the order/shipping and payment costs.
