Pre-screening + IgE What can I eat?
The test for 7 common food allergens offers insight into how your immune system responds to specific foods. It looks for both IgG and IgG4 antibodies, which can indicate delayed food hypersensitivities. It also measures total IgE, a marker for immediate allergic reactions and overall allergic burden.
This test is particularly suitable for people with unexplained post-eating complaints, chronic inflammation or suspected food hypersensitivities. The analysis focuses on the following nutrients:
- Pineapple
- Milk
- Wheat
- Salmon
- Chicken protein
- Peanut
- Tomato
This blood test consists of:
- IgG & IgG4 analysis on 7 foods
- Total IgE determination (method: ELISA)
An elevated IgG or IgG4 level may indicate a delayed immune response to specific foods. Measurement of total IgE helps to identify a broader allergic burden, such as from pollen, dust mites, animals or food. IgE is also produced when exposed to parasites or other pathogens.
Note that this test does not measure specific IgE allergies to the foods listed. If elevated total IgE is found, additional testing for inhalant allergens or food allergies (IgE specific) may be considered. Consider the Food Screening IgE Small.
After the test, you will receive a personalized, no-obligation recommendation for possible follow-up testing based on your results.
