• Iron
• Ferritin
• Transferrin TIBC iron stacking
• Transferrin saturation (calculated from transferrin and iron)

Elevated iron saturation fraction at normal ferritin concentration indicates
iron accumulation only if an acute or chronic
inflammatory process can be excluded. for this it is important to also test crp

at the time of blood collection.
