Who are we?

Behind Bloedwaardentest is a team of people who truly believe in preventive health. Not because we have to, but because we see the impact that understanding your own body has on people.

It all began in 2013 with Ellen van Gijsel, who, drawing on her many years of experience in medical diagnostics, realized that individuals had virtually no access to reliable blood testing. She knew there had to be a better way. Since then, Bloedwaardentest has grown to become the largest provider of blood tests for individuals in the Netherlands, with a team ready every day to help people.

Ellen’s dream is to make the Netherlands healthier. Let’s put an end to chronic fatigue and symptoms you can’t explain. A blood test is actually very simple: it’s like a selfie of the inside of your body. We make that possible.
