I am very satisfied with the company and regularly load my blood tests. The only pity is that you don't get a confirmation when the blood has arrived. That would be an added value...

    Product Description

Covid-19 IgG antibodies due to vaccine or disease

Blood test for IgG antibodies against corona (COROG)

These antibodies appear 4 weeks after the acquired disease or vaccination

30 days after vaccination the antibodies should also be visible with this test.

    • because you've experienced COVID-19 disease
    • or to measure whether the vaccination is working properly (titer test).

    Antibodies after vaccination or disease

This test is adapted from the WHO standard and determines quantitatively IgG antibodies to the Spike protein (S1) antigen of SARS-COV-2.
The assay is suitable for the determination of antibodies after vaccination with S1/RDB-based vaccines and completed infections.

This test is done from serum. The blood has to be taken intravenously by a professional. If you wish, we can take blood samples at a blood sampling point in your neighbourhood or at your home.

You are required to provide your telephone number for a telephone consultation after a positive result.

It is known that infections with MERS-CoV and SARS-CoV-1 often do not produce specific IgG class antibodies until 10 or more days after the onset of symptoms.

This test cannot be used to diagnose acute COVID-19 infection.

The test is only suitable for the detection of antibodies, which the body forms after a corona-infection, longer than 14 days ago.

    EUROIMMUN antibodies against SARS-CoV-2 (ELISA)

    • COVID-19 IgG antibodies

    The test is CE-certified.

    Sensitivity:

With only the Anti-SARS-CoV-2-ELISA (IgG) a sensitivity of 80% is reached 10 days after the first symptoms of illness. For a higher certainty at such a short time after infection see the IgG/IgA Anti-SARS-CoV-2-ELISA blood test.

The EUROIMMUN Anti-SARS-CoV-2 ELISA (IgG) has a specificity of 99% and a sensitivity of 100% after 21 days from the onset of symptoms.

This means that in 1% of the cases the test can be positive for another coronavirus, but if SARS-CoV-2 antibodies are formed, they will be detected in 100% of the cases and if no antibodies are found, they are not present.

More information about the German laboratory that performs these tests can be found here

Due to global demand, the lead time of these tests may be longer than normal (normal = a few days)

We are not yet able to provide blood sampling for these tests at all 800 blood collection locations, so you may have to travel further. It is also possible to come and take blood at home or at the company.

Read here the press release why the American version of the RIVM chose this test.
