IgE Inhalation mix 42 allergens RP
The IgE Inhalation Screening is a comprehensive allergy test that provides insight into 42 common inhalation allergens. These include allergies caused by inhaling pollen, dander, house dust or mold. The test is conducted via a blood draw and is suitable for people with symptoms such as shortness of breath, sneezing, itchy eyes or chronic nasal complaints.
When your body receives prolonged exposure to allergens through the respiratory tract, an IgG reaction may first occur. With continued exposure, this protection may fail, after which an IgE-mediated allergic reaction occurs. These are direct allergies in which the immune system reacts violently to certain substances in the environment.
The following 42 inhalation allergens are investigated:
- Tree pollens: Alder, Hazelnut, Poplar, Forest Willow, Elm, Maple, Birch, Beech, Oak, Walnut
- Animals (dander): Dog, Cat, Horse, Beef
- Grasses: Cocksfoot, Deadgrass, Field Beechgrass, Ryegrass, Meadow fescue, Rye, Cuckoo grass, Reed, Striped whitebush
- House dust and mites: Dermatophagoides farinae, Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus, House dust, Cockroach
- Rodents and poultry: Hamster, Rabbit, Mouse, Guinea Pig, Rat, Duck, Goose, Chicken, Turkey
- Fungi: Alternaria alternata, Aspergillus fumigatus, Candida albicans, Cladosporium herbarum, Penicillium notatum
The test is structured into different groups to give you a broad picture of possible hypersensitivities to inhalant allergens.
This test is a complementary health check. The results of this inhalation allergy test are not routinely recognized by general practitioners or regular health care providers. For explanation of the results or further guidance, please contact the specialized therapists at Blood Value Test.
