    • Free testosterone, testosterone total, SHBG
    • Prolactin (pituitary gland)
    • PSA (prostate)
    • LH (hyposphysis, in men LH is needed for the production of testosterone)
    • HbA1c (diabetes)
    • Gamma GT (liver)


    Cause of impotence

    The most common causes are:

    • certain medications (e.g. some anti-hypertension and anti-depressant products, performance enhancers or hair loss products)
    • drug use
    • smoking
    • liver disease (usually due to alcohol abuse)
    • vascular problems (e.g. due to arteriosclerosis, diabetes)
