Please note that for this study, you should not eat or drink anything 12 hours before the blood draw, with the exception of pure water.
Potassium is a very sensitive test and can sometimes fail due to hemolysis; unfortunately, this is an unpredictable technical factor, and in that case the test is not performed again.
