hCG from urine (pregnancy test)
hCG qualitative in urine. hCG, beta-human chorionic gonadotropin.
To determine if a woman is pregnant.
hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) is the growth factor for the placenta and is produced after fertilization of an egg. An increased hCG therefore indicates pregnancy, and that is what the principle of the pregnancy test is based on. Apart from pregnancy, hCG can also be produced by some tumors.
Result postive or negative.
Delivery time
For women in a treatment program, the delivery time is crucial.
Our advice is to order your collection set in time.
P.S. The determination of HCG (human choriogonadotropin) is a pregnancy test. Therefore, this analysis is performed only in women. As a tumor marker in choriocarcinomas, in germinal ovarian tumors and obligatory in combination with AFP (alpha-1-foetoprotein) in testicular tumors, you should have beta-HCG determined.
