Covid-19 IgA did I have corona?
Blood test for IgA antibodies against new corona. (COROA)
This test is not available separately, because if you are looking for early antibodies while you still have symptoms, the PCR test via throat swap is meant for that, not this one.
This test is meant for people who have done the covid-19 IgG test, but have not yet built up antibodies. It is possible that the IgA antibodies are already detectable, but that the IgG antibodies are not yet visible.
Within 5 working days after receiving your blood at the lab (see lap report receipt date) this test can still be done without having to take blood again. (Provided there is enough blood available)
Do we know that infections with MERS-CoV and SARS-CoV-1 often do not produce specific IgG class antibodies until 10 days or more after the onset of symptoms. Unfortunately, there are not many studies on the immune response to SARS-CoV-2 infections.
This test cannot be used to diagnose acute COVID-19 infection. The test is only suitable to detect antibodies, which are formed by the body after a corona infection, longer than 14 days ago.
EUROIMMUN antibodies against SARS-CoV-2 (ELISA)

The test is CE-certified.
More information about the German laboratory that performs these tests can be found here
This test is still only available for people in vital professions.
By ordering this test, you give us permission to share the results with GGD-RIVM, and with Sanquin for a possible call for donating plasma with antibodies to corona patients. See also notifiable infectious diseases
