The STD test

There are a lot of different STD's that can cause a lot of damage if you don't do anything about it. Therefore, it is wise to get tested once in a while. Especially when you're in one of the risk groups, you'll have to get tested more often. An STD test is often only reimbursed once a year by the insurance. So you will often have to pay for an STD test yourself. The different STDs that can be tested via the blood are:

  • Herpes
  • Chlamydia
  • HIV
  • Syphilis
  • Hepatitis A, B and C
  • Gonorrhea
  • Trichomonas

FSH Transition test and pregnancy

The FSH test has been developed to detect fertility problems, premature or late development of puberty, as an aid in determining menopause and in the diagnosis of certain tumors in women.

The Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) is responsible for the maturation of egg cells. Women who want to have children can take this test if, for example, they have problems with this. It shows whether your FSH is too high or too low. If it is, you can take pills to improve your fertility. Take a look at the FSH-transition test here.

Of course, there are many more problems you may encounter when trying to get pregnant. For example, you can test your fertility, but you can also test your blood to see if you are pregnant. More information about pregnancy-related blood tests can be found in our tests about pregnancy section.
